Dean Boerger, OSPS President
OSPS President, Dean Boerger has been in a supervisory or management level position in the private security industry since 1990. Dean gained invaluable security experience working many positions for a national security company to include Armed Security Officer; Operations Supervisor; Personnel Manager; Branch Manager and Division Manager - Quality Assurance. Prior to beginning his career in the private security and private investigation industry, Dean served in the US Army. Dean also served the local community as a Reserve Police Officer with the City of Upper Arlington, Ohio - Division of Police.
Dean is an active member of several industry associations to include:
- American Society for Industrial Security (ASIS) - Columbus Chapter #27 where he served as the Chairman and now serves as the Assistant Regional Vice President (ARVP) for ASIS Region #2F
- Ohio Association of Security & Investigation Services (OASIS) where he served as the Vice President - Investigations
- Ohio Crime Prevention Association (OCPA) - Current Member - Certified Crime Prevention Specialist (CPS)
- Central Ohio Crime Stoppers - Current Board Member
Dean is the current Chair for the Ohio Private Investigation & Security Services Commission (OPISSC)
Dean is also an approved Ohio Peace Officer Training Commission (OPOTC) Private Security School Commander and a Private Security Firearms Instructor; Ground Defense Instructor; Taser Instructor; Subject Control Instructor; Impact Weapons Instructor; OC Individual Chemical Aerosol Instructor; LE Duty Knife Instructor; NRA LE Firearms Instructor; NRA Training Counselor; IALEFI Master Firearms Instructor; an American Red Cross - Emergency Medical Response (EMR) Instructor and an NREMT - EMT.
Dean understands the importance of quality customer service and maintains regular communications with the client to enhance their security posture, reducing risk and losses. Dean prides himself on being your personal security manager.
